VNProject started out as a work and discussion forum for visual novel development (click to visit VNProject Forum) - over time, it also becomes a place to hang out and discuss for visual novel and general anime/manga fans. VNProject forum also allocates forum space for anyone who wants to develop their own visual novel project there.

Most of the threads in VNProject forum are open to public, however project threads are generally restricted for project team members only. Also, since currently all forum members are Indonesians, most threads are in Bahasa Indonesia – however some threads and projects are already in English, in anticipation of internationalization of forum and team membership.

Over time, we perceive that VNProject should have its own website to represent itself to the general public – hence this site’s creation, which aims to show VNProject and its hosted projects to public in a way easier and more pleasant to look at.
